TPE密封膠條比傳統交聯硫化橡膠的高彈性、耐老化、耐油性等各項性能更加優異，同時又具備加工方式廣、可二次回收利用的特點，。隨著我國科技發展及工業進步，TPE國產原料已經能夠替代進口產品，并逐步被應用到汽車、火車、線材、門窗等領域，TPE密封膠條超高的性價比已成為取代傳統膠條（三元乙丙、PVC、硅膠等）的最佳材料。

TPE密封膠條的主要性能及特點如下：

(1)無毒、環保、無污染：不含亞硝酸鹽等致癌物，不含重金屬，無刺激性氣味，對人體、環境無傷害，屬于綠色環保產品。產品通過SGS認證，符合歐盟ROHS指令，尤其對于出口型企業至關重要。

(2)材料密度低：生產過程中無鈣粉等填充物，產品密度0.93-0.98，僅相當于EPDM材質密封條的67%左右，同等重量膠條的出窗率是EPDM的1.3-1.4倍。

(3)耐老化性能好：常態下使用年限不低于20年。對紫外線、酸雨、臭氧、潮濕空氣、電弧有良好的耐受性。不會出現變硬、流油、縮短等現象，長效保證門窗密封性能。

(4)性能穩定：經國家建筑研究院《相容性檢測》合格，產品無析出物，對門窗型材表面涂層（水性漆、油性漆）不會污染，保證與膠條接觸面無發黃、發黑痕跡，提升門窗品質。與結構膠相容，紫外燈下照射21天后對結構膠性能無影響，符合《建筑門窗用密封膠條》GB16776的相關要求。

(5)產品可回收后再生利用，有利于節資與節能，解決了門窗企業因工程尾料或設計失誤造成的后顧之憂。

(6)加工性能優：可以根據型材色彩特制各種彩色膠條、白色膠條、透明膠條等，顏色均勻、不褪色，裝飾性強，提升門窗檔次。

(7)耐高低溫性能優異：使用溫度可達-50OC到+110OC，在溫度為-20OC到+40O范圍內，硬度變化不高于4HA，優于傳統材質PVC和EPDM密封條。

(8)導熱系數低于0.2W/(M?K)，屬保溫材料，提升門窗保溫性能，降低能源消耗。

(9)回彈性好、撕裂強度高：在壓縮率30%、70℃×24H的條件下，壓縮永久變形為22%，撕裂強度在執行ASTM D624檢測下為50 KN/M；

(10)可進行熱力焊接：角部焊接可從根本上解決轉角密封不嚴、膠水開裂等問題，其焊接工藝簡單、效率高、焊接強度高，焊接后安裝方便，又節約了轉角、膠水等成本，正在被越來越多的高端門窗企業所應用。
