改性PBT塑料型材在汽車行業的應用也是多種多樣的，包括電氣部件例如點火分配器、保險絲盒和連接器，以及前照燈外殼、頭燈擋板、窗支撐、門把手、刮水器電機外殼、中央鎖部件、空氣過濾器和傳感器、燃油泵和供應組件和氣囊組件等。未來5年，全球汽車產量預計將以每年平均3.5%的增速繼續增長。這也會拉動改性pbt材料的市場需求。

改性PBT塑料型材制品的主要成型條件：
1、料筒溫度。料筒溫度的選擇對PBT的成型十分重要，如溫度過低，塑化不良，會造成制品缺料、凹陷，收縮不均和無光澤等現象。而溫度過高，會造成噴嘴流涎嚴重，溢邊，色澤變深，甚至降解。通常，料筒溫度控制在240~280℃,玻纖增強PBT控制在230~260℃。而噴嘴溫度應控制在低于料筒前段溫度5~10℃。

2、模具溫度。模溫與塑料型材制品的尺寸穩定性、翹曲變形、成型周期和結晶度有直接關系。PBT易于結晶，即使在常溫下結晶也很快，故模具溫度不需要太高，通常為40~60℃,而玻纖增強PBT的模溫稍高，通常為60~80℃。

3、注射壓力。PBT熔體粘度低，流動性好，可采用中等程度的注射壓力，一般為60~90MPa，玻纖增強PBT為80~100MPa，通常注射壓力隨塑件厚度的增加而加大，但不要超過100MPa,否則會使脫模困難。
