食品級塑膠異型材都是符合國家食品安全要求的材料，在使用的過程中不會產生有毒物質。

常用的食品級塑膠異型材材質有：
1、PET塑料常用于制作塑料盒、飲料瓶等制品，人們常購買的透明水果盒、蛋糕盒都是PET片材吸塑制成的包裝制品，屬于食品級安全塑料材質。

2、PP塑膠異型材是常見的塑料之一，可制成任何食品用塑料包裝，如食品專用塑料袋、食品塑料盒、食品用吸管等，安全無毒并且耐低溫、耐高溫性能好。PP是唯一可以放進微波爐加熱的塑料，并有高強度耐折性能，50000次-20℃下高空墜落不會破損。食品級PP片材常用與速凍水餃、微波加熱食品包裝。
3、HDPE塑料俗稱高密度聚乙烯，具有較高的使用溫度、硬度、力學強度和耐化學藥品性較好。屬于無毒安全材質，常用于食品用塑料容器的制作。

4、LDPE塑料俗稱低密度聚乙烯，用它制成的產品具有無味、無臭、無毒、表面無光澤的特點。常用于食品用塑料件，食品包裝用復合膜，食品保鮮膜、醫藥、藥品塑料包裝等。
5、PS常用于制作碗裝泡面盒、快餐盒、一次性食品包裝盒等，具有很好的耐寒性能。食品級PS片材常用與酸奶杯等容器。

6、PC塑膠異型材可用于制作運動水杯水壺、瓶子等，廣泛應用于塑料容器制作，屬安全材質。
